Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Minh Tri, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Boris Baravikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Viet Nam, at the same time, he emphasized that Viet Nam and Belarus have a good traditional friendship. Cooperation between the two countries has continuously developed since the establishment of diplomatic relations on January 24th, 1992.
Recently, the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic have affected all aspects of economic, political, and social life, causing many obstacles to the implementation of cooperation activities between countries; However, bilateral trade turnover in 2021 has recovered compared to before the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully, in the coming time, the two countries will better use the incentives of the Free Trade Agreement between Viet Nam and the Eurasian Economic Union to enhance trade exchanges.
Mr. Le Minh Tri, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam gave an overview of the functions and tasks of the Vietnamese People's Procuracy and the orientation of cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus. Accordingly, the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus has not officially signed a cooperation agreement, but the two sides have had contacts and exchanges in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding. Mr. Le Minh Tri, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam sent an invitation to the Prosecutor General of Belarus to visit Viet Nam and sign a cooperation agreement between the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam and the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus.
