On 23rd of September, 2025, in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China, the delegation of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam, led by Deputy Prosecutor General Tran Hai Quan, attended the 15th Conference of Prosecutors General of ASEAN – China, hosted by the Hong Kong SAR Department of Justice.

The theme of this year's conference was "Combating Money Laundering, Corruption, and Asset Recovery in the Technology Era." This annual forum brings together the leaders of Prosecution Services of ASEAN member states and China to meet in person, exchange views, and outline cooperation strategies to effectively combat transnational and emerging crimes in the region. At the Plenary Session of the Conference, Mr. Tran Hai Quan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam, presented a statement sharing Viet Nam's practices in combating money laundering, corruption, and asset recovery. He also proposed several solutions to enhance effective cooperation among the Prosecution Services of ASEAN and China in combating money laundering and corruption, and recovering criminal assets. These solutions highlighted the necessity of:
- Completing the legal framework for the prevention and combat of crime in general, and corruption, money laundering, and asset recovery in particular.
- Timely providing mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
- Boosting cooperation in training, workshops, and sharing of best practices of each country to enhance the overall capacity of Public Prosecutors.
- Increasing the application of science and technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), to assist Public Prosecutors in performing their duties.

Concluding the Conference, Deputy Prosecutor General Tran Hai Quan of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam signed a Joint Declaration with the heads of the Procuracies, Prosecution and Attorneys Offices of ASEAN member states and China. The Declaration affirmed the determination and vision of the regional Prosecution Services in effectively combating money laundering, corruption, and recovering criminal assets, thereby contributing to securing safety and maintaining peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.
