Leader of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam received the Delegation of the People's Procuracy of Vientiane city, Lao PDR

Attended the meeting was Ms. Vu Thi Hai Yen, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (Department 13); Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, Director of the Department of Administration and General affairs; Mr. Bui Viet Duong, Deputy Director of Department 13; Mr. Dao Thinh Cuong, Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Ha Noi city and a number of officials from the People's Procuracy of Ha Noi City.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam expressed his pleasure of welcoming the delegation of the People's Procuracy of Vientiane city, Capital of Lao PDR to Viet Nam; at the same time, he emphasized the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos. In recent times, on the basis of the good cooperative relationship between the two countries, the relationship between the two People's Procuracies has also been continuously strengthened and achieved many practical results. In addition, the leaders of the Supreme People's Procuracies of Viet Nam and Laos have always paid attention and try to create a favorable condition for the local People's Procuracies of provinces sharing the Viet Nam - Laos border and the People's Procuracies of the provinces and cities with similar conditions of the two countries to expand professional cooperation and exchange of experiences.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam requested the two Chief Prosecutor of Ha Noi City and Vientiane city to continue to lead the People's Procuracy of the two city continue to cooperate effectively. At the same time, it is necessary to maintain regular delegation exchanges between the two agencies, contributing to further strengthening cooperation activities in the fight against transnational crimes, especially crimes related to high technology, drugs, and human trafficking; contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the two cities.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Khamsouk Sengmixay, Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Vientiane city, Lao PDR thanked the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam for taking his precious time to welcome the Laos’ delegation. He also reported to the leader of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam about the purpose and content of the working trip of Laos’ delegation to Viet Nam; expressed his wish that the People's Procuracy of Vientiane city and Ha Noi city could share and learn from from each other’s experiences in prosecution work, thereby contributing to promoting the relationship between the People's Procuracy of the two countries in particular and between the Party, State and People of Viet Nam and Laos in general to develop more sustainably.
